Moog Foundation
The Moog Foundation ignites the innovator in us all through exposure to interactive educational experiences that draw from Dr. Bob Moog’s legacy of groundbreaking work at the intersection of music, science, and imagination. They provide hands-on opportunities for children and adults to explore the science of sound and the preservation of Bob Moog’s archives and musical inventions through the Moogseum, a museum devoted to this legacy.
Moogfest is a premier electronic music festival inspired by Dr. Bob Moog’s invention of the synthesizer. Past performances have included world-renowned acts like The Flaming Lips, TV on the Radio, Big Boi, and Massive Attack. In contrast, the Bob Moog Foundation is a small nonprofit organization that only receives one dollar for every ticket sold to this major event.
Synergetic Strategies wanted to help make festival attendees aware of the important work this Foundation does. Through a unique on-site street team promotion, combined with an innovative crowdfunding campaign, we were able to help connect BMF with supporters on the ground at Moogfest and across the globe. Working with musicians at the festival like Moby and Amon Tobin, we helped secure perk items that included a signed Moog Voyager Synth, specialty merchandise, and a VIP package to the festival. Through active social media outreach this successful campaign brought in supporters and donations from as far away as Japan and South Africa.
