Blue Ridge Treks is a unique community of mental health professionals dedicated to enhancing the health and wellness of disadvantaged youth in the Blue Ridge Mountains surrounding Asheville, North Carolina. They have a holistic approach that is strengths-based and relationship-centered. The focus of their practice involves getting kids into the wilderness and utilizing nature-based therapy to overcome trauma.

This organization came to Synergetic Strategies with the expressed interest in establishing an annual event that would help them connect with low-income, marginalized communities. Too many of these families remain unaware of the services they are entitled to access. With that in mind, we first developed a strategic outreach plan that connected with partner agencies like the Asheville Housing Authority to make inroads into under-represented neighborhoods.
